Mushfam Enterprise is an incorporated entity in Ghana that uses agricultural waste to grow organic mushrooms, which has a lot of nutritional and medicinal benefits. Mushrooms are rich in macro and micronutrients that have the following medical properties; boost your immune system, treat anaemia, are good for cardiovascular conditions, and improve mood among others. We serve our community with hygienic Mushrooms that have anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.
Prior to Covid-19, Mushfam was providing mushrooms to help address the problem of malnutrition and high prices of meat and fish. Mushfam currently has 5 permanent employees contributing to economic growth.
The protocols implemented by the government, such as lockdown, stay at home, and the ban on social gatherings has led to an increase in our post-harvest losses. To respond to that, mushfam wants to process fresh Mushrooms into mushroom chips, mushroom bread, and mushroom drinks.
These products will not only help sustain the business but also boost the immunity of our customers against Covid-19 and other diseases.
Donations for this cause will be used to acquire mushroom equipment, set up a bakery unit for mushroom bread production and set up a kitchen for mushroom chips, settle immediate bills, and employee remuneration. These investments will help retain our employees, take on more employees, and produce immune boosters for our mushroom lovers as well as providing a variety of mushroom products.
