Protecting the Community against Covid-19

Grace's story

We started this business twenty years ago and have been helping my community in various ways. I have employed over thirty people in my community. I decided to help stop the spread of covid-19 with the production of nose masks and hand sanitizers. The business took a downturn during the covid-19 so we could not produce as much as we used to. We need these funds to expand the business to help more people stay safe during this period of COVID-19. The nose mask is customized and can easily help with the identification.

Seeing the effect and toll unemployment has on the youth, I initiated a training program with the aim of equipping the youth to earn a living by themselves. Covid arose and had me hold off these trainings. Business also dwindled so on a quest to fight covid to survive, I began preparing and selling liquid soaps and sanitizers. Unfortunately covid has increased this said unemployment effect by a relatively greater  margin thereby causing the few employed youth to be declared redundant. In as much as my business wants to scale and overwrite the impact covid has had on my operations, I as well wish to admit more trainees to equip them with skills as sewing, preparation and sale of sanitizers and liquid soaps to be able earn a living for themselves.

This requested amount is intended to be used to call back the laid off trainees and as well recruit more youth for trainings.

It is an opportunity for me to fulfill my dream of giving back to society and making a positive impact by being a model for them.
