Presby school needs help to complete their ICT and library block to improve ICT and literacy for both teachers and students.

PRESBY's story

In recent times ICT has been the backbone of teaching and learning. Hence an appeal was made to a philanthropist in Canada for desktop computers. He donated twenty desktop computers to enhance teaching and learning ICT in the school and promised to-bring-more to support community learning.

Unfortunately, there was no place to install these computers for learning, and so the items have been kept at the Triumphal Compassion Project Centre. The community and the school saw the need to undertake a building project for an ICT laboratory and library block. A petition was sent to the member of Parliament at the time Hon. Francis Kojo Arthur of Gomoa West Constituency to consider the project. He started construction of the project in 2012 but abandoned it at the roofing stage when he lost his office as an honorable member of Parliament in the year 2016. The community and the school management made several efforts to sort for funds through communal festivities, but the funds were so meager to do any work on the building.

In the year 2019, the school management in-collaboration with some opinion leaders in the community advised by the District ICT Coordinator - Mr. Amoah to seek cement sponsorship from Ghacem through the District Education Directorate and Gomoa West District Assembly.

Ghacem donated 100 bags of cement for the project. The cement was used for the floor, plastering inside walls, block laying, and plastering part of the outside walls. The project remains uncompleted.

We humbly plead with you to come to our aid to complete this project. Thank you
