HOW PROTECTIVE IS YOUR NOSE MASK?

LOUISA's story

COVID-19 or Coronavirus is spreading very quickly and making some people sick.  Very tiny droplets of the virus can be transferred from person to person when you cough, sneeze, or speak.
In helping to fight the spread of covid-19, wearing nose masks is one of the key measures to take. But the big question is how Protective is your own mask?

As part of our contribution to complement the Government's effort in combating COVID-19, in the wake of the PPE shortage, the_phrempoma gave out nose masks made with African prints in the early days, during the lockdown. Very breathable, 100% cotton, and over 90% virus protection. And told people whenever they receive their package to send us a selfie or tag us on our social media platforms.

Below is a link to our Instagram page with pictures as such.

Science has proven that the best nose mask is the N95 respirator since it has the capability of assuring an as high as 99% of protection and this is because of the materials it is produced from. Fortunately, there is a match of mask produced in Ghana by us, the_phrempoma.
the_phrempoma nose mask is made from purely cotton fabrics with three layers per the standard of the Food and Drugs Authority, FDA.

The first layer is the fashion fabric
Second is the filter or stiffener
Third the breather.

Our mask is shaped like the face, with a pointed nose outline for easy breathing and it covers from right under the eyes to cheeks, falling firmly on the nose down to the chin. And it comes in different yet standardized sizes to fit all types of faces.
There are lots of different kinds of masks to cover your nose and mouth made by us, for example, plain-colored masks with elastic ear loops, wax print masks with loops or strings to tie behind your head; or a branded or customized nose mask with an elastic band to go around your head.

Fortunately, our masks are washable hence reusable. After wearing, you can simply care for it by dipping it in hot water with a pinch of salt in there. Leave it for some time and get back to it. Take it out of the water and label it under cool running water, add a fragranced soap for good smell and dry it directly under the sun. Iron and package it for use when dry. In short, if you want to purchase a nose mask, look out for these qualities.
1. Highly Breathable
2. Washability
3. Reusability
4. Affordability
And you will get all these qualities in one mask from the_phrempoma

The money raised will go a long way in helping us increase production, distribute more to our frontline workers, and market women who in one way or another are very much exposed to this deadly virus. Through this donation, we will be able to move into a much bigger space and employ additional people.
